Background
The Purpose Pursuers Men's Ministry is derived from the word of God in which we learn how God created the man and gave him dominion, responsibility and work to do, (Genesis 1:26-28; 2:15). We understand scripturally that God created the man with a purpose in mind. We note that the man, failed to uphold the purpose for which God created him. When God asked Adam where he was, He was not interested in the geographical position for He had seen that Adam's spiritual position had shifted.
Another nature set in which affected all generations after him, (Genesis 3:9-10). Since the fall of Adam, man has progressively run away and hid himself further away from God. As a result the man's real purpose and destiny has been compromised.
Our aims and strategies
Some of our aims and strategies are stated below. It is important to note that we aim to preach to every man the need for him to:
Return and realign himself with the will of God, (Zechariah 1:3).
Regain and rediscover his God given purpose and destiny (Isaiah 1: 18-19), (Hebrews 10:7).
Re-establish himself as the head and leader of his family and community, (1Corinthians 11:3) and (Ephesians 5:23).
Work and carry out God's assignment here on earth.
Restore Christ-like mindset and responsibility, (Phillippians2:5).
We believe that once today's man realigns himself with God spiritually and practically, everything else will come into alignment. Matthew 24:12, “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.”
We also believe that when a man rediscovers and regains his God given purpose so many spiritual and social problems in the world today will be eliminated. In addition, God’s love brings families together, thereby reducing conflicts and lawlessness in the world. As a body of Christ one of our strategies is to meet frequently throughout the year and also hold a Men’s Conference. More men are encouraged to come onboard.
