YMI Sunday School Ministry

Our Aim

Following the vision of Yeshuah Ministries International, our aim is to teach, admonish and empower each child through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the living Word of God.

Achieving the Aim

We acknowledge that fact that children are future leaders called to be Pastors, Prophets, Teachers, Evangelists and Prophets. To ensure the our aim is achieved, we create an environment that is secure, safe and welcoming for children as well as their family members. We believe that children and family members should always feel safe and loved. Creating an enabling environment gives them the opportunity to interact and learn without fear as well as gain knowledge and understanding of God the creator of the heaven and earth. This belief is based on the principles of Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it."

We incorporate different dynamic activities, ways to teach, empower and inspire the Sunday school children for their spiritual growth. Some of our activities are highlighted below:
Bible studying and reading - take place to promote spiritual growth through participation in reading and responding biblical teachings.
Drawing and Art – take place to encourage festivity through pictures, poetry and drawing biblical stories according to each child’s age, level of faith, knowledge and gifting.
Quizzes and Art – are used by Sunday School Teachers to test and develop the children’s knowledge and overall spiritual growth.
Theatrical performances – they bring the bible alive through performances and acting to encourage visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learning.
Day trips and Movie days – we undertake these with parental or guardian consent to encourage brotherly love, unity, friendship and fellowship whilst incorporating biblical teaching.

It is vital to note that, we are a family oriented church that promotes harmonious relationships. Therefore, teaching children helps as noted in Titus 2:12, “Training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age.”
